NHL Hockey reaching peak on and off the ice

The 2012 NHL Stanley Cup  playoffs are almost over.

The Los Angeles Kings have a stranglehold on the Cup, with only one more game needed to capture the franchise's first title.

Even so, every other team around the league, including the  Carolina Hurricanes, are making adjustments to prepare for next season.

The 2012 NHL Entry Draft is up next - June 22-23 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Looking ahead to next season - summer will come and go before you know it.
