Carolina Hurricanes and NHL hockey fans, have you caught the 'madness' yet?

There is a lot going on including a resurgence by many teams, including Carolina, in the lower echelons of the standings, who are making some big ripples in the 'frozen pond'.

Are you paying attention or are you getting too distracted with information overload?

As the NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Championship Tournament fields will be selected on Sunday and Monday, and with the NHL's schedule entering the 'home stretch' for many teams vying for a playoff spot, how can you keep track of it all?

February was the best month of the season for the Carolina Hurricanes as they finished 6-1-4 and earned 16 points for their efforts.

After a tough 4-3 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday that was preceded by a 3-2 loss to the New York Rangers, the Hurricanes embark on a five-game road trip that begins in Washington on Tuesday.

After that, Carolina's eight-day road trip will take them to Buffalo, Tampa Bay, Florida and to the Big Apple before returning home to host St. Louis on Mar. 15.
